Come fly with me...

So finally the big day is here!  After long nights and lots of planning, we finally pulled off a great Airplane party full of great details.

First off the invitation...  this one was inspired by a Pink Peppermint Paper design.  The little plane I cut with my Cricut and I put a dimensional so it looks like it's on the air.

For the cake I wanted something different from what I've done before, so I asked for cupcakes.  The little airplanes on the cupcakes and the cake topper I did myself.  This was my first attempt at making fondant figurines... I think they came out pretty decent!  I showed you the little cupcake toppers I made for the rest of the cupcakes but things were so hectic I forgot to use them!!!

The dessert table included popcorn, sour gumballs, home made brownies and mascarpone tarts, and other yummy snacks!  I found a great tablecloth that tied it all together with the beautiful banner I made.

I used gable boxes for the party favors.  As always, they were personalized with each kid's name.  Also they included age appropriate favors, such as bibs and bath toys for the little babies, mini books and gummy treats for toddlers, markers, play dough, gliders, activity books, model airplanes, candy and lots more!  I got this great idea from a party I found at Nounces.com, where they put these genius signs over the favor box and the gift tables.  I also made favors for the adults: peanuts and pretzels.

Finally the piƱata, a huge aiplane that was custom made by a very talented friend.  I also made a pilot license out of foam board so that our guests could take their pictures.

Everything came out exactly as I expected and our little boy had a blast.  All the hard work was worth it for sure!!!  Happy 2nd Birthday little monkey!!!

A break from birthdays

A couple of weeks ago I took a break from all the planning for my baby's birthday and created these darling invitations for a Baptism.  Aren't they cute?
