I am thrilled to have won Celebrations of Houston 's first week of the A to Z Theme Contest Feature!!! It's a weekly contest in which each day they feature three themes using one letter of the alphabet. Each weekend people get to vote for their favorites and at the end of the contest they will declare a winner among all the weekly winners... really cook isn't?
On day three "C" we submitted our Candy themed birthday {Carola's Sweet Shop} and were elected along with the Circus entry from Cupcakes and Lemonade as the winners!!!
So to all our fans, keep checking for every week we'll try to submit one of our parties! Our next submission is our {Giraffe Baby Shower}.
Thanks for all the support!

Parties: {Giraffe Baby Shower}
I want to share with you a beautiful baby shower that I created for one sweet customer. It was two showers / one theme affair: Giraffes! The mom to be loves these creatures and asked me to customize this party. The clipart I used is from Revidevi at MyGrafico. I then used my Cricut to cut them.
The invitation...
The invitation...
I created a banner, yard signs, a door sign and centerpieces to tie everything together!
As party favors, our hostess gave out chocolate bars and special cookies made by one of her friends. We just dressed them up!
These centerpieces have become really popular and I can see why... aren't they cute? And those carnations are exquisite! The giraffe print table covers were custom made for the event by someone very close to the mom-to-be. Perfect for this affair!
No doubt, this party is one of my favorites!
See you soon!

Birthday: {Carola's Sweet Shop}
Hello again!
Here is one of the events I worked on last week: a candy extravaganza! The birthday girl is crazy about Skittles, so what better inspiration to throw her a Sweet Shop birthday party?
First off, the invitation...
We got lots of goodies from The Polka Dot Market. Here we bought silk and paper lanterns, colorful gable boxes for party favors and chinese boxes to be filled with all the candy goodness both of them with custom made tags.
Almost all candy was from Candy Warehouse and others from local candy stores: cotton candy gumballs, rock candy, candy buttons, chocolate crisps, cotton candy... and of course, Skittles!
All the table covers and lines were custom made by a local rental company, they matched the cholor scheme perfectly! We created these sweet centerpieces featuring lollipops and gumballs.
The beautiful cake and cupcakes are from another local vendor, the Little Cupcake Shop.
And of course, no party is complete without one of my banners which was hanged from the tent along with chinese lanterns disguised as candy!
All in all it was a beautiful and sweet party!

Sonic the Hedgehog Birthday
Hello again!
I just helped my sister plan my nephew's 6th birthday... the theme? Sonic the Hedgehog
Thankfully there are a few party supplies out there of this rare theme. However, I wanted to give them something custom made. So I made a banner featuring Sonic and of course, dessert labels. I also made my chocolate dipped marshmallows with little flags on the sticks.
We all had lots of fun, specially watching the kids have blast with Sonic who came by to play with them!

{Sweet Princess Birthday}: A party fit for two!
Hey! I'm back to share my latest project. A princess birthday for two special little girls: my godchild who turned 3 and her baby sister who turned 1.
The theme: They are both into Disney Princesses, specially the oldest. So we wated to give them a Princess inspired birthay without the "over-the-top-ness" of the actual princess party supplies out there. So I found beautiful graphics by WoofyWorld via Esty, exactly what I needed to customize this cute party.
The invitations...
Cupcakes and Candy Bar...
(it was pretty windy that day!..)
All in all the girls and of course mom were very happy with the outcome.
