{Mermaids Under the Sea Birthday}

Hey dear friends!

Today I want to share with you guys this beautiful party we created and styled for Miss Carolina's 5th Birthday.  Her mom chose a mermaid theme that we paired in aqua, turquoise and lavender color scheme.`

First, the invitation.  Since we live in a digital era, most of the invitations were sent via email, text or Facebook.  However, we wanted to give them an invitation for immediate family members and as a keepsake.  So I created an invitation complete with fish scales.

Now, this dessert table turned out beautiful!  The backdrop was styled with a custom made fabric garland in our theme colors and paper lantern jellyfish.  We rounded up several fantastic vendors to crate a sweets table with lots of detail and deliciousness.  Desserts such as sugar cookies, push pops, guava cheesecake burritos, chocolate mousse, layered jell-o, mini meringues, macarons and, of course, several favorite candy such as rock candy, sixlets, gumballs and gummy sharks.

The cake itself is a masterpiece, along with the cupcakes.

We created the usual paper products and stationary: dessert labels, water bottle labels, favor tags, signs and a birthday banner.  The polka dot favors boxes were filled with crayons, mini coloring books, bubbles, gummy candy, lip gloss for the girls and more.

{Vintage Strawberry Shortcake Birthday}

Hey there!

This next party is a trip down memory lane for this mom who wanted to share her love for Strawberry Shortcake with her birthday girl.  The whole party was inspired by a piece of fabric that her mother had saved from her childhood bedroom.  Since there is no way we could recreate the theme without the actual vintage Strawberry Shortcake doll, I purchased the high quality graphic from Hello Love Too via Etsy.

As always, I asked Johanna from GloboArte to create a masterpiece and what better than larger than life size doll!  She went all out to create all the balloon art.

Then there is the dessert table full of strawberry goodness:  strawberry mousse, meringues, gummi bears, marshmallows and puff candy, as well as other favorites such as brownies, M&Ms, fruits, guava pastries, french macarons and, of course, sugar cookies by the very talented Peggy Pérez.

None of my dessert tables is complete without water bottle labels, striped straws with little flags, tags and garlands and all the cuteness I always find on Shop Sweet Lulu, such as the little wooden spoons, goody bags, strawberry baskets and striped straws.

So fun creating this one!

Love,
