{Beauty & the Beast Birthday}

Just in time for the premiere of the new movie Beauty and The Beast this week, here is a party we styled a few months back inspired by one of my favorite Disney movies.  We decided on the traditional color scheme of red, royal blue, yellow and gold with roses and rossettes as the main element of our table, along with the most prominent elements of the movie.

Golden rosette and yellow fabrics were used as our backdrop with a cluster of hand made paper roses.  Definitely one of our guest’s favorite features.  Decorative elements in our table included fresh red roses, a vintage candelabra, a magic rose and vintage books.  The sugar cookies and the cake were a show stopper.  Incredible work, as always, by Cookies by Suehery and Jovanna Valentín.

{The Cat in the Hat 1st Birthday}

Hello friends!

Our latest party is a Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat inspired party for baby Liam's 1st Birthday.  We chose the traditional red, blue, white and black color scheme and focused the party on the Cat and Things.  My balloon go-to-girl created fantastic sculptures of the characters and a blue red and white background.  I created a rosette banner with the birthday boy's name.

The focal point, of course, is the magnificent cake created by Jovanna Valentín.  Three tiers depicting a peeking Cat and Thing 1 and Thing 2 standing atop the Hat.  She also created a little cake shaped as a fishbowl with a little fish splashing out.  She also made the Thing hair cupcakes which I embellished with a Thing 1 tag.

Cookies by Peggy created hat and fish shaped cookies and Pastry Gallery's Noemí Nieves created the marshmallow pops and jell-o cups.  I embellished wooden demitasse spoons from Shop Sweet Lulu with blue glitter polka dots to give it a little extra.

I designed six different water bottle labels and paired them with paper straws and little flags.  Other delicious treats included popcorn and an assortment of candies.  A sign sitting next to a plush Dr. Seuss thanked the guests for a thoughtful gift and offered striped paper takeout bags for kids to fill with candy and treats.

A separate table with another balloon centerpiece held the party favors, the framed invitation, a book and Liam's party hat.

Guests would play around with custom made photo booth props, a bouncy house, popcorn and fairy floss stations and lots of fun!

Hope you enjoyed this amazing party!

Love,

{Mauricio's Race Car 4th Birthday}

I'm really excited to share the photos of Mauricio's 4th Birthday! Since I became a party planner everyone expects me to throw amazing parties for my little boy. This year would be no exception. He is obsessed with cars. Not the movie, not NASCAR, but top of the line, exotic cars which he calls "race cars"! He literally can name any brand of vehicle there is, even I can't believe it sometimes. So since he loves his Hot Wheels, I envisioned a "race car" themed party featuring only one type of car -- a Porsche, along with my favorite color combo and chevron patterns.

The invitation is one of my favorites so far. I found these amazing graphics from Baby Star Design and customized it to my boy's likes... a red car with his number 4. From this graphic I created an SVG file of the car to place on the invitation along with a checkered flag banner hanging from bakers twine.

 I carried the checkerd flag pattern all along the party details, from the background to all paper details. Johanna from GloboArte created a checkered balloon background and two traffic lights on each side. I created the tissue pom poms from scratch and placed them on top. My favorite element of the background is the name banner I made out of silver rosettes that spelled my boy's name.

The biggest surprises I got were the cake and the cookies. These two amazing women, Wanda and Peggy, managed to mimic the car design I sent them and did a great job with the cake topper and sugar cookies.. stunning! I created a mini flag Happy Birthday banner to complement the cake topper and rosette toppers for the cupcakes, along with chevron cupcake wrappers.

We had lots of red, black, blue and orange candy: gumballs, sixlets, licorice wheels, sour cherry balls, silver kisses, Oreos, among many other favorites. I made Jell-O cups in three colors and placed a demitasse wooden spoon from Shop Sweet Lulu on each one. I decorated the spoons with checkered flag pattern duck tape I found at the Home Depot... everyone loved them! I also personalized red and black chevron paper takeout bags for the kids to fill with lots of candy.

Other fabulous details were personalized water bottle labels, each with a paper straw and flag tied with bakers twine, a custom made Keep Calm and Race On poster (note the little car silhouette on top), and a picture of my boy with his favorite car. Our guests had Blue Vodka Lemonade, hummus with home made baguette chips, chickpea salad, chicken burritos, burgers and hot dogs and juice for the kids. The kids favor bags had a racing cap, bouncy balls, tattoos and candy, Hot Wheel cars for the boys, and custom made bead necklaces and bracelets for the girls. And of course, each one took home a lot of candy from our candy bar!

The best part? My sweet boy's happy little face... now THAT is priceless!

Hope you enjoyed looking at these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Love,
