{Coco Birthday}: Un poco loco for this party!

This colorful and happy birthday party was a labor of love. As soon as my client said that her daughter Luna was obsessed with the movie Coco, I was ecstatic, for I've been waiting for this theme to come up.  My inspiration: pinatas and flowers.

All the elements of this party were very well thought of, especially this backdrop! I'm crazy about fringe and have been seeing this trend pop up everywhere, so naturally, I had to tackle the task.  Let me tell you, it is definitely time consuming, but the result is so beautiful and fun! I love the contrast between the colors in the fringe and the sparkly black curtain.

Once again, my vendors came through with an amazing cake and themed desserts! This cake was so beautiful and captured exactly all the details my client wanted.  The desserts were a combination of home made cake pops, chocolate covered Oreos, Nutella tarts, lemon cheesecake and an array of  traditional Mexican candy.

{Beauty & the Beast Birthday}

Just in time for the premiere of the new movie Beauty and The Beast this week, here is a party we styled a few months back inspired by one of my favorite Disney movies.  We decided on the traditional color scheme of red, royal blue, yellow and gold with roses and rossettes as the main element of our table, along with the most prominent elements of the movie.

Golden rosette and yellow fabrics were used as our backdrop with a cluster of hand made paper roses.  Definitely one of our guest’s favorite features.  Decorative elements in our table included fresh red roses, a vintage candelabra, a magic rose and vintage books.  The sugar cookies and the cake were a show stopper.  Incredible work, as always, by Cookies by Suehery and Jovanna Valentín.

{Maleficent Birthday Party}

Halloween is always a favorite holiday to celebrate and how lucky is this little girl to have a birthday so close to the date! She absolutely loves Maleficent and had been asking for a themed party since the movie released.  So this year we suggested a Maleficent inspired costume party at a local jungle gym.  We selected purple, apple green and black as our color scheme, and let me just say it looked amazing!

Read on for all the party details and lots of pictures!

Let us start with this cake, or should I say, this GORGEOUS cake!  Jovanna from Jovadiel Cake Designs came up with this adorable creation in black lace over purple fondant and a mirror frame with our girl's initial.  The rest of the cake speaks for itself.  Delicious and beautiful, a hit with all the guests.  To continue with the Maleficent inspiration she also created cupcakes with toppers featuring small mirror and the horns, of course.

As for the desserts, deliciously created by Sugar Bliss, we wanted to take the Halloween route and crate spooky, curious and sweet treats.  Most of them inspiration gathered on Pinterest.  Chocolate covered apples with bling sticks from Treats by Taryn on Etsy, rice krispy treats, marshmallow brownie ghosts, nutella cheesecake tombs, witch fingers, and of course, the beautiful and cookies by Cookies by Suehery in lemon, coconut and vanilla flavors.  Simply amazing!

The whole setup was completed with green and black curtains, a custom made banner, dessert tags, signage, favor boxes and small themed decorations by yours truly.

I hope you all love this party as much as I do!  Hopefully it will bring some inspiration to your Halloween parties in the future.
