{LOVE IT Anniversary Soiree}

I was very excited when I was asked to style a party for LOVE IT Shoe Boutique's first anniversary. A very trendy and stylish local shoe store with fantastic shoe options and great service.

I was inspired by countless Kate Spade photos found online and immediately created an inspiration board.

We chose hot pink, black, white and silver, since these are the colors of their shopping bags and logo.  A digital invite was sent to VIP guests who would enjoy a cocktail hour with delicious hors d'oeuvres, wine and champagne.

As soon as I saw the space I knew we had to showcase their most important asset, her shoes!, so I decided to use their glass shelves to setup a dessert station full of decadent chocolates and pastries.

All the guests took home a mini champagne bottle with paper straws and a cute thank you tag.

{Teen Beach Movie Pool Party}

Today I'd like to share this fantastic Teen Beach Movie inspired party for Mia.  I've done several parties for this family over the years and I just love to work with them.

This party was full of bright colors with a summer feel.  Although it is officially Fall, here in PR we have wonderful weather all year long, so a pool party is never out of the question. For the background we used bamboo fencing and foam props shaped as surfboards which I personalized with the little girl's name, age and movie logo.  We also got these character props which were a huge hit with the kids.

The dessert table is always my favorite part.  I always have a wonderful cake and cupcakes by Jovanna Valentín and lots of sweet treats.  This time my darling sister-in-law Mari from Sugar Bliss provided all the desserts: french macarons, brownies, polvorones, coconut macaroons and sugar cookies which I adore.  Check out the details on the flip flops!  The birthday girl's name and age... adorable!

Now, the cake was wonderful.  She is definitely a master.  Clean lines, smooth fondant and the VW buggy on top was the 'icing' on this cake.  Love all the detail.

We also created a juice bar with coconuts and pineapple cups for everyone.

Kids would receive beach pails filled with candy and toys topped with a beach ball.

Always a pleasure to create for this family!

{Moroccan Dessert Table)

We styled this beautiful dessert table for a lovely young girl turning 15.  We suggested a Moroccan theme in jeweled tones of orange, hot pink, purple and gold.

The event took place at a restaurant, so we just created a small table with the birthday girl's favorite treats.  Rock candy, gumballs, almond kisses and the most beautiful macarons to date.  Merari from Merari's Pastry designed these fantastic macarons in the party colors and a hint of gold edible paint.

This cake by Jovanna Valentín was just beautiful and delicious!

Some decorative elements included votive candles in embellished glass holders, an embellished picture frame and the backdrop which was decorated with fabric curtains and a gold garland by Mailbox Happiness.  A glittery tablecloth tied everything together.
