{A Froggy Birthday}

This week we celebrated Nico's 2nd birthday. I've had the pleasure of celebrating this little one's life since his mama's Baby Shower and then his first birthday.  For his second birthday we wanted to give him a hopping good time with a frog theme.  His favorite character is Sr. Sapo (Mr. Frog) from a local children's band called Atención Atención, so we used this as inspiration.

A little frog with a blue tie was our main focus.  I got thet cute frog graphics from Pixel Paper Prints and added the little tie.  Our scolor scheme was lime green, blues and a touch of orange and yellow.

As always, I partnered with some fantastic vendors.  Johanna Padín from GloboArte created a balloon grid background and huge columns featuring our little froggy friend.

Delicious and fun desserts were served on our main table.  Frog cake pops, layered Jell-O, brownies, lemon bars, nutella mousse tarts, french macarons along with all the usual favorites chocolate disks, sixlets and rock candy.  There were also these cute frog cookies by Peggy Pérez.

The cake is our centerpiece of this table, along with the cupcakes with fondant frog themed toppers.

I also created a kiddie table for the little ones. I was lucky to find frog melamine plates and cups and complemented each setting with striped straws, personalized water bottles, and the cutest bunting along with fresh flowers in ceramic pots and aluminum buckets.

Cute, right?! Until next time!

{Watermelon Berry Happy Birthday}

As we were browsing the web for a different idea for Elena's 2nd birthday, we immediately loved the watermelon strawberry theme simply because of the color palette: pink, melon and lime.  We were inspired by Whimsical Printables' Summer Party, and with the watermelon amazing graphics by Kelly Medina, I created my own design using a homemade gingham pattern, chevron and of course, polka dots.

My amazing balloon designer Johanna Padín created beautiful art in two columns and a number two with watermelon and strawberry elements.  I made the huge fabric garland hanging in the background, as well as the birthday banner on the main table.

Other items I created were the dessert tags, dessert toppers, water bottle labels, straw flags made out of the fabric instead of paper, and the lovely birthday hat for little Elena.  I also glittered up some demitasse wooden spoons from Shop Sweet Lulu.

We wanted to feature desserts as well as candy, so I ordered cake pops, brownies, strawberry parfaits, fruit salad, cheesecakes and sugar cookies. All the sweets are from Pastry Gallery, sugar cookies by my usual talented baker, Peggy Pérez and the amazing cake and cupcakes by Wanda González.

Thank you for visiting!
